In-feed preview

What it actually looks like once you post it.

The same Vielo cut, dropped into the three places a vertical ad normally runs. Every platform lays its own interface over your video — this shows you exactly how much of the frame you lose, and where.

Amber marks the area each platform's interface can cover.

What this preview told us

Turning the safe zones on is not a formality — it changed the ad twice. The 420 px figure usually quoted for Reels is for organic posts. An ad stacks a Sponsored label and a call-to-action button beneath the caption, handle and audio strip: measured against the mock-up above, that comes to about 553 px of a 1920-pixel-tall frame.

Found here, fixed in the ad: the headlines originally sat about 150 px from the bottom of the frame. The first fix raised them to 440 px — enough for an organic Reel, still not enough for an ad, because the Sponsored label and CTA button sit below the caption. They now sit 620 px up, which clears the ad layout with margin. The cut above is the corrected version.

That is invisible until you mock the ad into the placement it will actually run in, which is why this page exists — and why every ad we build gets checked here before it ships.

Safe zones, by placement

Approximate, for a 1080 × 1920 frame. Platforms adjust these without notice — treat them as working margins, not guarantees.

A caption you can paste

Written the same way as the video: every line traceable to the product page, nothing invented.

Before you post

  • Upload the 9:16 file — it is what Reels, TikTok and Stories are built for, and it is what you get.
  • Assume the sound is off. Most feed views start muted, which is why every point in this ad is legible without audio.
  • Put the link in the CTA button, not the caption — captions are not clickable on Reels or TikTok.
  • Run both hooks against each other rather than picking a favourite. The variant you prefer and the variant that performs are frequently not the same one.
  • Give it a week before judging it. Creative fatigue on paid social is usually measured in days, so plan the next one while this one is still running.

About these mockups: the interfaces above are simplified illustrations of each platform's layout, drawn to show where the frame gets covered. They are not screenshots, they are not affiliated with or endorsed by Meta or TikTok, and the counters deliberately show dashes rather than numbers — we do not display engagement figures we have not earned. The Vielo ad is an unsolicited spec concept, not commissioned by Vielo.
